Little River Farm is operated by Amy and Chad Lanier on top of Lookout Mountain, GA. We formerly offered a full-service equestrian center, however we have now shifted this farm's focus towards our small breeding program and raising our three young children, Cora, Cadha, and Audrey. Amy's lesson business will now be based at Heatherfield Horse Park in nearby Wildwood, GA. In 2009 LRE formed an IEA-Interscholastic Equestrian Association Team. This team is now based at Heatherfield Horse Park as well. Amy has extensive show experience in dressage, hunter/jumpers, equitation, and eventing. She also has experience in breed show disciplines, having worked with one of the top Appaloosa trainers in the country. She believes riding a variety of disciplines helps a rider develop their seat and training methods. She earned bachelor's degree in Animal Science at Berry College and competed very successfully with their IHSA equestrian team at the local and national level, buth huntseat and western. Amy is now pursuing mastering the upper levels of dressage as a personal lifelong goal, going through the "L" judges program with the USDF, and staying busy coaching the IEA team. For the 2012-13 season, Little River Equestrian Team is shifting practices to Heatherfield to join forces with Betsy Chandler and the enthusiastic riders there to have a dynamic team! More details on this new venture to come soon. See the IEA page for updates or contact Amy if you are interested.
